It may look like quite some work, but one can easily do it at home, on their own. Given below is an easy guide to do nail designs with rhinestones.
Get good quality rhinestones
The first step in getting great rhinestone designs is having good rhinestones to do it with. You can find rhinestones for nail designs in any beauty store. These stones come in stick on variety. You can buy multiple types of such rhinestone stick on. But these could be a little costly. Another cheaper yet equally good option is buying loose rhinestones from art and craft stores. This may surprise you, but you can utilize such rhinestones for nail art too. Here you will get much more rhinestones for lesser price, and you will get more variety too.
Prepare your nails
The first step in doing the rhinestone designs for your nails, is to prepare the nails for it. Clean your nail, cut and buff it so that the surface is smooth. This is important and then the rhinestones will set properly. Start with a base coat. The base coat is important for protecting your nails. After the base coat dries up, apply the nail polish of your choice. The choice of the nail polish color should be compatible to the choice of the rhinestones for designing. Apply an even and smooth coat of the nail polish. Wait for it to dry completely.
Applying the rhinestones
Once your nail polish is completely dry, it is time to move on to the step of applying the rhinestones on it. First apply a bit of base coat on your nail. Do this with the designing stick you would be using. Then dab a little of base coat on the flat surface of the rhinestone too. Make sure there is no excessive base coat dripping from it. Now gently, and very carefully place the rhinestone on the base coat covered area of your nail. Press is gently for a couple of seconds, until it is well set. Now repeat this process with the rest of the rhinestones and arrange them in the pattern you would like on your nails.
Once you are done with applying all the rhinestones you want to, you need to finish it up with a top coat on your nail. The top coat will not only make the finish look smoother, it also protects the rhinestones from falling off easily. You will have the stones on your fingers for a longer time then. So, follow these steps and design your nails yourself.
